AARON MEDINAMusic Director/ Master Instructor
Aaron has a diverse background in music, as a performer, collaborator, songwriter, and teacher. As a classically trained artist with a Master of Music in Classical Guitar Performance from the University of Denver, Aaron's training, combined with his intrinsic curiosity, has led to an array of musical paths. Aaron works as a songwriter for XIX Entertainment (Aloe Blacc, Spice Girls, ABBA, Annie Lennox) performs session work around Los Angeles, has performed as a touring guitarist in cities as far as Qingdao China, and mentors the next up and coming generation of musicians in-person around Los Angeles, and virtually in other parts of the world. Whether he is teaching a rock band of music students to play Bon Jovi in front of their entire school (stealing the show!), collaborating with other songwriters for their albums (including television placement), producing backing tracks and original tracks for studio/live settings, or performing a J.S. Bach lute suite on the classical guitar at a private party, Aaron is always up for the next challenge as a performer, instructor, and collaborator. |
joplin franklinCreative Dance Instructor
With an unusual and intriguing musical upbringing-- spanning Bluegrass to Rock, Classical to Jazz and Punk to modern day Electronica - Joplin's musical style can truly be called eclectic. For the last 22 years Joplin has been building musical environments as a DJ everywhere from yoga studios to downtown warehouses, art galleries to Hollywood clubs, the forest to the desert – and beyond. Dance has played a parallel and integral part, alongside music, in Joplin’s artistic journey. A dancer from age 2, she has tapped, pirouetted and choreographed her way through her entire life. She began teaching Jazz, Ballet, Tap and Modern dance at age 17, and after a short life hiatus, is currently back following her passion for teaching as a new member of CREATE Complex. |
